Participation in the work of the Chinese-Russian roundtable on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (Shanghai, China)

The delegation of our university took part in the round table discussion devoted to the prospects of development of bilateral relations in the sphere of science and innovation as part of the 20th session of the Russian-Chinese subcommittee on scientific and technical cooperation of the Commission on the preparation of the regular meetings of the Heads of Government of the Russian Federation and China.  The Ministry of Science and Technology and the Committee of Science and Technology of Shanghai Municipality were organizers of the event from the Chinese side. The Ministry of Education and Science (represented by Deputy Minister of Education and Science A.V. Lopatin), and the International Instrument and Information and Telecommunication Technologies Experts Union were the organizers from the Russian Federation. In total, the round table discussion was attended by over 100 representatives of Chinese and Russian universities.

The scientific and educational innovation projects of the first flagship university in Russia were presented at the round table discussion. The results and future prospects of the development of structural units of our University - Center of Interdisciplinary Engineering (implementing standards of CDIO) and scientific-educational center "Biomedical Engineering" (developing new methods of photonics and biomedical devices), as well as the newly opened University hospital of translational medicine (a unique center of interaction of clinical medicine and research in the field of IT, medical engineering and robotics) were demonstrated. The Chinese partners were interested in the presented works, further steps for cooperation were outlined.
