Participation at VII All-Russian Congress of Young Scientists at ITMO University (St. Petersburg)

Interdisciplinary team of Orel State University students, consisting of representatives of Institute of Instrumentation, Automation and Information Technologies (E.S. Seryogina, M.A. Mezentsev, V.V. Shupletsov - bachelors of "Biotechnical systems and technologies" direction working in R&D Center of Biomedical Photonics), Institute of Natural Sciences and Biotechnology (M.A. Filina - PhD student of the Department of Industrial Chemistry and Biotechnology, trainee researcher of R&D Center of Biomedical Photonics) and Medical Institute (T.O. Shinkarenko - student of the Department of Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacy), took part in VII All-Russian Congress of Young Scientists. The Congress was held on April 17-20, 2018 at ITMO University (St. Petersburg).

 

Mikhail Mezentsev, a bachelor of the 3rd year, was awarded the diploma "The Best Report” at Living Systems, Biomedical Technologies and Tomography section (11 reports in total) for the report “Analysis of laser Doppler flowmetry signal during local skin pressure applying” (supervisor - Associate Professor E.V. Potapova). Heads of the section (Professor V.S. Sizikov, Associate Professor A.O. Kaznacheeva) also noted the overall high level of all reports submitted by representatives of our university (M.A. Filina and V.V. Shupletsov were awarded certificates of acknowledgement).

 

          

 

As part of scientific cooperation between the universities, an excursion and experimental research was conducted at the Department of Computational Photonics and Videomatics (Professor A.A. Kamshilin, Associate Professor M.A. Volynsky, Associate Professor M.V. Volkov, Senior Teacher N.B. Margaryants). Also our delegation visited Terahertz Biomedicine Laboratory (one of the laboratories of ITMO University participating in the project "5-100"), where the excursion was conducted by the head of the laboratory M.K. Khodzitsky.

 

     

 

The culture program included a visit to Optical Museum of ITMO University.
