Participation in the VIII All-Russian Congress of Young Scientists at ITMO University (St. Petersburg)

Team of students and employees of Orel State University named after I. S. Turgenev, working in R&D Center of Biomedical Photonics (D.D. Stavtsev – master’s student in "Biomedical Photonics and Electronics"; M.A. Mezentsev, V. V. Shupletsov, Y. I. Loktionova – bachelors in "Biotechnical Systems and Technologies" and "Instrumentation", E. O. Bryanskaya – post-graduate student of Instrumentation, Metrology and Certification Department, M.A. Filina – post-graduate student of Industrial Chemistry and Biotechnology Department, trainee researcher of R&D Center of Biomedical Photonics) participated in the VIII All-Russian Congress of Young Scientists, where they successfully presented the results of their research works. The Congress was held on April 15-19, 2019 at ITMO University, St. Petersburg, Russia.

According to the results of the presentations held at the section "Living systems, biomedical technologies, tomogram and image processing" (26 reports were presented), Maria Filina was awarded a diploma for the best report "Multiparametric approach to assess the effectiveness of treatment of patients with psoriasis" (supervisor – Associate Professor, senior researcher of R&D Center of Biomedical Photonics E.V. Potapova). Chairs of the section (Professor V. S. Sizikov, Associate Professor A. O. Kaznacheeva) also noted the high level of all 6 works from our University.

 

     

 

 In addition, as part of scientific cooperation and implementation of strategic project of flagship university "University clinic of socially significant diseases", a scientific seminar was held at the Department of Computational Photonics and Videomatics, as well as a number of joint experiments using high-speed videopillaroscopy and wearable laser Doppler flowmetry devices. In addition, as part of of cultural and educational programs, our delegation visited the Terahertz Biomedicine Laboratory (one of ITMO University laboratories participated in the "5-100" project). The head of the laboratory M.K. Khodzitsky performed a lab tour, as well as cooperating Student Chapters of both universities held a meeting.
