Victory in the SPIE Educational Outreach Grant competition

July 27, 2017 the results of the annual grants competition of SPIE, intended for conducting educational activities in the field of optics and photonics, were announced. Orel State University SPIE Student Chapter, which operates on the basis of the laboratory of biomedical photonics of the University Clinic, has become one of the winners.

The employees of the Laboratory of Biomedical Photonics of the University Clinic along with the Institute of Continuous Media Mechanics of the Ural Branch of Russian Academy of Science (Perm, Russia), the Central Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics named after N.N. Priorov (Moscow) and University of Oulu (Oulu, Finland) published a new article "Analysis of skin blood microflow oscillations in patients with rheumatic diseases" (Irina Mizeva, Irina Makovik, Andrey Dunaev, Alexander Krupatkin, Igor Meglinski) in Journal of Biomedical Optics.

The Master’s degree student of department “Instrumentation, metrology and certification” Igor Kozlov, working in the Laboratory of Biomedical Photonics of University clinic, took part in “International School of Light Science and Technologies” (June, 18-23, Santander, Spain).

Participation in the Summer School on Optics and Photonics (Oulu, Finland)

June 1-3, 2017, the International School for Young Scientists and Students on Optics, Laser Physics and Biophotonics "Summer School on Optics & Photonics 2017" was held at the University of Oulu (Oulu, Finland). A representative delegation of our university, including bachelors (K.Y. KandurovaE.S. Seryogina), masters (I.O. KozlovO.A. Stelmashchuk) and researchers (V.V. DreminI.N. MakovikA.V. Dunaev) of the laboratory of biomedical photonics of the University clinic attended the school.

SPIE Optics and Photonics Education Scholarships

Students of "Biotechnical systems and technologies" and employees of the biomedical photonics laboratory of the University clinic (Irina MakovikOlga StelmashchukIgor Kozlov and Elena Zharkikh) won the SPIE Optics and Photonics Education Scholarships, provided by the international society SPIE.

The article "Non-invasive control of the transport function of fluorescent colored liposomal nanoparticles" is published in the peer-reviewed journal Laser Physics Letters (Q1 / IF 2.391). The article is devoted to the control of the transport function of fluorescent dye-filled liposomal nanoparticles for oral use in vivo

Victory in the regional competition RFBR-Ural

In May 2017, the Russian Foundation for Basic Research and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Perm Krai supported a scientific project involving the employees of the laboratory of biomedical photonics at the University Clinic (I.N. Makovik, I.O. Kozlov, A.V. Dunaev). The applicant organization is Institute of Continuous Media Mechanics of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Perm), the project manager is a research fellow of the Laboratory of Physical Hydrodynamics I.A. Mizeva.
