The establishing of OSA Student Chapter in our university

December 12, 2017, International Optical Society OSA Student Chapter was officially accredited in our university. It is based on Research and Development Center of Biomedical Photonics (along with already existing SPIE Student Chapter). The opening of this Chapter will increase the involvement of students in the implementation of flagship university strategic project "National Science and Technology Center of Biomedical Photonics." Our OSA Student Chapter became the 12th in Russia!

Currently OSA has about 350 Student Chapters in more than 60 countries. OSA actively supports talented students all over the world, providing opportunities for professional development and education in the field of optics, photonics and related disciplines. Student Chapter opens the way to career growth, participation in international conferences and events, scientific publications and initiation to advanced scientific research.

OSA Student Chapters receive many benefits, including annual activity grants, the opportunities for communicating with advanced scientists in this field, conducting lectures by invited scientists, and much more. In addition, every year Chapters members have the opportunity to participate in conferences organized by OSA (International OSA Network of Students, etc.).

We invite all students interested in the application of optics and photonics in various fields of research (physics, technology, medicine, biology, biotechnology, etc.) to cooperation!
