Participation in the work of the "International School on Light Science and Technologies" (Santander, Spain)

Employees of the Research and Development Center of Biomedical Photonics Irina Makovik and Elena Zharkikh, who is also a Master's student of the new direction "Biomedical Photonics and electronics", participated in the "International School on Light Science and Technologies", held from 25 to 29 June 2018 at the Menendez Pelayo International University.

According to the results of the annual competitive selection representatives of our University were entitled to free participation in the school. Out of 35 international grants issued as a result of the competition, 3 were received by students from the Russian Federation, two of whom are employees of our University.

During the school 16 reports of famous scientists in the field of optics and photonics were heard, contacts with leading researchers in this direction were established. According to the results of the school Irina Makovik and Elena Zharkikh received a certificate of completion of the course "Certificate of Academic Record" (1 credit). The gained experience and established relations will contribute to a better implementation of research and educational work carried out in the framework of one of the strategic projects of the university.
