Participation in the 15th international conference "Laser Applications in Life Sciences" (Bar-Ilan University, Israel)
Employees of Research and Development Center of Biomedical Photonics took part in the 15th international conference LALS-2018 (Laser Applications in Life Sciences) at the University of Bar-Ilan (Israel).
They presented the results of their work on the project No. 18-15-00201 supported by the Russian Science Foundation "Clinical and experimental substantiation of multiparametric optical biopsy of hepatopancreatoduodenal zone organs for minimally invasive surgical operations". The results were discussed with leading scientists and further prospects for cooperation were outlined.
According to the project tasks, the team visited the consultant on optical imaging Dr Vyacheslav Kalchenko (The Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel) together with the collaborators from University of Oulu (Oulu, Finland) to consider the prospects for further joint research.
Thus, biomedical photonics and minimally invasive surgery actively developing in recent years at our University is an example of effective interdisciplinary interaction, the results of which open up new opportunities for medical and diagnostic process and provide the results of scientific research of our University to the world level.
