Participation in the 19th International Conference "Laser Optics" (ICLO 2020)

Senior researcher of R&D Center of Biomedical Photonics Evgeny Zherebtsov took part in the 19th International Conference "Laser Optics" (ICLO 2020). The conference is held every 2 years in Saint Petersburg, but in 2020, it was held online on November 2-6, 2020. The conference is dedicated to the latest developments and applications of optical technologies in various fields of science and technology, including medicine.

Evgeny Zherebtsov presented the report on "Machine Learning aided Fiber-Optical System for Liver Cancer Diagnosis in Minimally Invasive Surgical Interventions" (E. Zherebtsov, M. Zajnulina, K. Kandurova, V. Dremin, A. Mamoshin, E. Potapova, S. Sokolovski, A. Dunaev, and E.U. Rafailov). The report included the results of joint research by the employees of Research and Development Center of Biomedical Photonics, Orel Regional Clinical Hospital, University of Oulu (Finland) and Aston University (UK).

The development of experimental setup and data acquisition for this research was carried out within the project No. 18-15-00201 "Clinical and experimental substantiation of multiparametric optical biopsy of hepatopancreatoduodenal zone organs for minimally invasive surgical operations", supported by the Russian Science Foundation.
