All-Russian Startup-tour-2016

The 24th and 25th of March 2016 in the city of Tula took place the regional stage of the All-Russian startup tour 2016, a platform for searching, developing and supporting of the promising start-ups working in the sphere of high technologies. More than 500 participants from 18 subjects of the Russian Federation submitted to the competition about 200 projects. The participants competed for the right to get into the top three startups in five areas: information technology, energy and energy-efficient technologies, biological and medical technologies, industrial technologies and materials, biotechnology in agriculture and industry. Among the presented during the pitch sessions projects, the jury chose 15 winners.

At this competition Oryol region was represented by our scientific-educational center "Biomedical Engineering" with "LaserLab" project. Our solutions have been successfully presented by research engineer of SEC "Biomedical Engineering", a graduate student at the Department of "Instrumentation, metrology and certification" Irina Makovik. The project was appreciate by members of the expert committee and took second place in the track of "Biological and medical technologies". The members of the expert committee noted the high elaboration of a scientific and technical aspects of the project as well as elaboration from a business perspective. Also as a part of startup tour Irina Makovik  took part in a roundtable discussion with reporters, where the project were interested, and attended plenary sessions and workshops with the participation of leading speakers.

"Skolkovo" Foundation awarded the winners of Startup tour with the invitations at Startup Village - the largest annual startup conference in Russia, which will be held in the "Skolkovo" Innovation Center on June 2-3, where participants will be able to once again fight for the victory.
