XX International Symposium “Saratov Fall Meeting – 2016”

On the 26-30 September 2016 Saratov State University named after N.G. Chernyshevsky held the XX International Symposium “Saratov Fall Meeting – 2016”, which included an international school for young scientists and students in optics, laser physics and biophotonics and the international conference «Optics &Biophotonics 2016". This scientific symposium is the most important annual event in the field of biophotonics and optical non-invasive diagnosis in our country. The symposium was attended by a delegation of our university (8 participants), including 3 bachelors (K.Y.Kandurova, E.S. Seryogina, E.V.Zharkikh), 2 masters (I.O.Kozlov, O.A.Stelmashchuk) and 3 research assistants (E.A.Zherebtsov, A.I.Zherebtsova, A.V. Dunaev) of scientific-educational center "Biomedical Engineering". Lead researcher A.V. Dunaev made a report to the plenary session: “Optical non-invasive diagnostics of microcirculatory-tissue systems of the human body: questions of metrological and instrumentation provision, methods and results”, which presented the results of laboratory research group Biomedical Photonics of the University of the last 7 years.

According to the results of the contest the 3rd place of all contest works (more than 200 posters) went to the poster of the representative of the delegation from our university - magistrand of the Department of "Chemistry and Biotechnology" Olga Stelmashchuk performing joint work of the department, SEC "Biomedical Engineering", Medical Institute of OSU and Smolensk State Medical University.  The contest committee and participants of the symposium were interested in all presented works, joint filing for getting grants is planned.
